engine management lamp

On my 855 2litre 10v I've just realised the engine lamp was not on (don't know the last time I saw it on thinking about it)

I change the bulb (which tested ok) but still not on,I don't have a circuit diagram for this car but do have for my V70r, thinking they are probably wired similarly, the wiring seems to go back directly to the ecu.

Any ideas, apart from a faulty ecu.

does it not come on when you put the ignition on? If it doesn't & you've tested the bulb then i'd say its either the cluster of bad connection on the plug to it, as you say its direct from the ECU so not much to go wrong
