This'll teach me for slagging off French cars.
I noticed an odd shaped wet patch in the passenger footwell a couple of days ago. Having lifted the carpet, I found this:

A puddle (of water, not coolant) and a nice crack. How the hell did that get there?! I can feel the crack from underneath the car, so it is all the way through the floor pan.
I take it it's an MOT failure as is as it's a bit close to the seat mountings. I'll wheel it in to the local garage on Tuesday, but was wondering if it's curtains or weldable? And suggestions for how said crack materialised in the last month or so.
