View Full Version : Vibratecnics gearbox mount

Got the Vibratecnics gearbox mount installed on my car, thought I may as well as it's an easy install and only cost £60 so wasn't hoping for too much really.

It's a fairly small component, you wouldn't think it makes that much of a difference - but it does.

I think it has a similar effect to the poly-bush top mount on the Older T5's - things I noticed when i took it for a spin were:


Engine Quicker to rev from idle
Less 'windup' in the transmission and a more immediate response to the throttle
Less tramping when the wheel spin comes
More vibration through the car + seems louder
Generally nicer feel to the throttle response


Like I said wasn't really expecting much but actually a surprisingly tidy upgrade for the price (and before you ask I've got nothing to do with vibratechnics!)

Just got to get my Recirculating Valve and brake line issues sorted now! :cussing:

If anyones got a S40/V50 on here and want it to feel a bit more 'sporty' give it a whirl.
