Folks

Occasionally - maybe once every four days I get a really bad shudder when breaking. It appears to be coming from rear nearside and initially I thought warped break disc even though there not that old and I broke them in the correct way etc.

However it really does only happen occasionally and I drive my car hard every day so would have thought if it was truely warped then it would be pretty much all the time.

Anyone any thoughts?

Andrew.

Hard to try and diagnose faults on line!!
Like you say, if it was warped it would happen all the time so it sounds more like it could be caliper based.
I would have a look at the pads to see if they are still intact and see if there is any excessive wear therin or anything there that should not be.
Process of elimination.

Andy it felt to me like a sticking pad/piston or maybe abs orientated,

I've this afternoon off so will be pulling the wheels off. I was wondering if it's ABS aswell though as it's so intermittant.
