Just got a set of the projector headlights from eBay. After emailing the seller several times he sent me the RHD version but they are in my opinion extremely poor quality. I also had to pay additional shipping and custom charged to the tune of ?95.
The lights don?t fit correctly, the indicator section don?t fit the headlamp units properly. To top this all off I had to get the beam set up. I took the car to my local MOT man who put the headlights on the tester and ***** sake they wont pass an mot as the beam casts a shadow.
To top it all off the seller demands I FedEx them back to him at my then he will decide what to do. So I have paid more in shipping and charges than the lamps actually cost.

sellers reply "It is up to you to leave whatever feedback you like. The item should be shipped back fedex on buyers expense"

The small spring is causing the housing to bend this creates a shadow on the beam pattern, At a guess the faulty unit is most likley a second hand one as the glass is scratched and the backings are missing. not that they fit with the spring in the way.

cant get the side repeters to fit anything like the pictures, i have also recived several questions from other ebayers wh have the same problems. im set to loose ?150 no matter what i do. The lamps look great but the buyer is an arse.

cheeper is not always better

IIRC there are some springs in there that are used for transit only and have to be removed for use, it's been a wee while since I fitted mine.

I did think that but when i removed the springs the internals fell apart. I was then told the spring stabalised the tilting for the headlamps so i managed to get it all back together but still they cast a shadow total MOT failure said the man from vosa

The springs are definitely only for transit, they have to be removed before you can align the lights correctly. Mine came from takajos 2 years ago, absolutely no problems with them. Fixing the indicator properly takes patience until you get used to doing it.

Mine fitted ok, the have a large spring that attached to where the cap screws on, then onto the light innerd itself - if i removed it also, the inside just flopped around, but also to add did not affect me altering the beam, which also still adjusts fine with the electronic switch on dash - so would say spring on mine is fine left on.

I fitted those very lamps without issue.

If you were a bit closer I'd help out. I am confident that I could get the side clusters to fit.

I am returning from Holland in the C70 on the 2nd April (arriving 20:00 in Harwich) - and so assuming that there is a somewhere to stay I could help on the Saturday.

I feel a little responsible as I allowed the guy to use my pictures. Is it broken inside?
