View Full Version : On Mrs Flatout thinking C70 - what to get and what to avoid.

Mrs Flatout has taken a fancy to a C70 2.0 T. Now I have to confess that I know little of what I should be looking for other than the usual 850/V70 issues, but what should she expect for about £6k? She likes autos but her main consideration is that it is blue or that nice champagne colour:

Ideas welcomed - this could be a way to get Mrs FP into the weird world that is ours!

Need to be aware of the lack of boot space and the skuttle shake. I'd also go for a 2003 or later so that you get the nicer lights and grill.

Think you can pay less than 6K

nice GT here...

Bootspace is very odd on the C70 - but no worse than on her Golf cabrio. She piles it full of school admin stuff (she's a head-teacher - you thought you had it bad: when I'm in trouble, I'm IN TROUBLE!) and uses the 850 for the shopping expeditions...:grumpy:

I do love a good e24 6 series, not sure about the wheels though.

Only thing I can say about the C70 (after test driving a few for the missus) is that the non T5 models seem to have significantly softer suspension, and are a little more wallowy.

These were coupes though.
