Some will remember I bought S Type Jag. and my son took my C70T5GT up to Norwich. Nasty lorry up there ran into him. Car's a write-off. He's gutted so is looking for a good replacement. Anyone noticed any, reasonably priced, up there?

He's fine. Thanks for concern. He was static at the time. Insurance sorted OK. He'd been drooling over the C70 from when I bought it. Aren't many about to replace it (low mileage, all sorted etc).
Having said that there's one over here "V558XXX". Anyone had previous experience of the car??

Sorry to hear 'bout that - so long as everyone is OK.

Are you getting it back from the insurers or not?

I think he's leaving it with insurers. He doesn't have technical expertise/conacts/money to gamble on possible restoration. Apart from crumpled rear wing and door, he suspects chassis might be out of true. He's been driving it until this week, but performance down.

I have a spare door if he needs it.

Thanks for the offer Wobbly. In the light of my last post, he'll need to keep things as simple as possible! Offer much appreciated!

Insurance paid out a fair price with no quibbles. He's now bought his brother's BMW 320i cabrio. with the money. Big bonus was that insurance company courtesy car was a brand new Porche Carrera Boxter!! He was loath to give it back. He won't have that opportunity again! LOL

Thanks ST. Yes we're all fine. Hope you and Nursey, Nursey have a good time on North Island And, of course, welcome over here again!!
As an aside, I'm enjoying the S type Jag which replaced the C70. Lacks the acceleration of the Volvo, but the hushed, "sedate" ride perhaps is more suited to someone in their dotage!! LOL
