I am looking to put one on and found these on ebay. Item 120523362296 (cant do stinky linky)

Has anyone used these? I guess they are not the genuine article. It says 2001 on but mine is the 2000 phase 2 which I believe are the same ?

If you are patient I have seen these as low as £30 on Ebay as Buy it Nows. You could always post a request on here - bound to be someone with one tucked away gathering dust.

That said, it is pretty cheap...

The copy could well be very good mate all they have to do is make a mould from an original one, plus it can be painted in the colour you want i think the volvo ones just come in primer but i could well be wrong lol

The real deal are ABS plastic & have a 3rd position brake light.

The spoiler suits the P2 better than not having it & it's not the dearest mod you could do.

Just remember that the rear door/tailgate is plastic so be gentle when you drill to fit or you might crack the thing! Or worse, burst through & damage something you cannot remove!

Top hint is if it does have a 3rd position light, then connect it up to the original light. Looks awesome & is much brighter.

PLASTIC ? Thought it felt light. Hope they don't melt on a hot day  Hopes it helps keep the glass a bit cleaner as I have'nt managed to get the rear washer working yet. No noise from the pump so thinking it may be this. There is a seperate pump for the rear I understand ?

Not really much cleaner, the aerodynamics from the back just sucks rubbish onto the back of the car.

It may actually be fiberglass? I cannot remember, but probably.

It's very light.

As I said though, the car does need it!

Just had delivered a new one from an ebay seller. Looks the nads and for £39.99 plus £15,99 post it is well worth it. Now just got to get my lad to paint it and fit it. He's in the trade so it may be this year :frown:

He doesn't want to do two in the same colour does he? As I quite want one as well :)

Like I say I may get it done this year.... My last car had a rub on the bumper and I sold the car after 4 years with it still the same rub !
They use Dupont and the laquer is £100 litre so not cheap.
He reckons £100 to prep and paint a spoiler being f/glass includes a bit more prep work but the paint is top quality.

LOL! Well if he wants the work, drop me a PM :)

Cheers...

He's gonna have a look at mine this weekend to see how much work he has to do to prep it. He's a really fussy bugger when it comes to painting and f/glass ain't the best thing to prep to get the best finish. He was the only one allowed to paint the F/glass Ferraris when they came in. He painted my kitcar lexus black and you can imagine how much work that involved.
Will let you know after he's had a look

The original spoilers are plastic, I know he's a relative but that sort of money to paint a roofspoiler is ridiculous no matter what sort of paint they're using.
