Brake caliper question

I managed to damage the dust cover seal on my caliper and wonder how hard it is to change as I can't see how to get the lip in the bore without removing the piston etc, is it possible to quick fix or is it caliper off and strip down etc?

hi mate,
it is possible to refit the seal without dismantling but its a dam tricky thing to do,
its a lot easier to remove piston & then you can clean it all out properly & fit it nicely.......

Hi..While your at it you could buy a caliper kit for £9-10 and fit new..:-)

Thanks for the replies guys, will be fitting a new dust seal as the old one was split, I dont really want the hassle of piston out and bleeding brakes etc so how do I go about replacing in situ?
