Intake pipe

Ok starting to strip stuff off the volvo to get the k24 on.
Just wanted to know what the connector is for that goes onto the turbo intake pipe,also has 2 other pipes i think ones vac and the over goes to the pcv pot?
Looking at making a custom intake pipe as the flange on the k24 is bigger than the 15g/16t just wanted to know if i need the connection on the new pipe,will probably get a catch can so dont need the pipe going from the pcv pot to it.

yeh the thick one is fine to a catch tank, & the thinner one i've put to the vac tree instead of messing with the intake pipe. The connection block were both pipes join the intake has also got a small heater element in it to help the PCV & oil flowing thru it, you can simply unplug that & leave it off & the ECU won't mind either
