Also just fitting a dump valv and blanking plate kit to my R and was just wondering where the pipe cming off the dump valve goes?

i use 215/40/17 also the vac pipe from the dump valve goes to the nipple on the inlet manifold at the side or the idle controll valve if you disconect the vac pipe from the recirc valve on the turbo that leads to the place where it needs to go either just connect that pipe to the dump valve or run new pipe

I'm going to be using 215/45 on my Propus C's. I don't really like 40 profile, too rubber band like!!

Cars fitted with the 17's as std (T5R & R) may have had the speedo altered to match the rolling radius, but there is not much in it.

Rolling radius of std 16's (205/50) = 305.7mm
RR of 205/45 17 = 308.15mm
RR of 215/40 17 = 301.9mm
RR of 215/45 17 = 312.65mm

As the Propus C's are 7.5" wide I'm going with a 215 and am happy to sacrifice a little speedo accuracy for more comfort (45 vs 40 profile).

With a 7" wheel like the Volan, a 205/45 seems ideal. If you want a bit more rim protection then a 215 will be a better bet. You may gain a little grip also.
