What size is the AFM? I'm getting a cone filter, would be handy to know the diameter.

Was thinking either a decent sized cone, or something like this

you get the reducer rings with that kit so will fit most pipe sizes, personally i never noticed any difference between an open cone & a sealed unit & i've tried many different ones so i always go for an open cone

I prefer an open cone myself :P

Just need to fit a big one, I hate looking at engine with a tiny filter attached, I guess its a size thing! ;)

the filter i'm using at the minute isn't actually that big, but its the open end i was after to help keep the flow of air as straight as possible (& only cost £15 lol)

i've tried quite a few different makes, i found Pipercross to be very good altho there was no power difference between there open cone (£30) & there Viper kit (£300)

LINK (http://www.custom-chrome.co.uk/shop/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=8&products_id=265) for £15 its not bad at all, you would need your own reducer tho as its 3"(76mm) inlet

i'd just make as much of a clear passage for the air as you can. I've never worked out those who leave an open cone hidden behind the battery, get it in the open flowing air
