Will do it up as required and was thinking about chipping it. They are doing a deal at the moment for £150 ( cannot remember the name of the company.) I know its well used but I thinking if I blow the engine up I should be able to get a another lower mileage one cheap and the same for the gearbox. So I might just do it.

Ive had my T5 Auto chipped by Hamish @ HLM for the last 14 months without issue.

It still goes like a train :D

IIRC you send him £250 then he sends you an already chipped ECU and you send your standard one back at which point he refunds you £100 :D

So very easy, and its Plug 'N' Play as well :B_thumb:

its well worth the money at the end of the day your engine life will depending on how good its been serviced and if you knock the balls off it every day it will shorten the life if you drive it as normal it will be fine just make sure every thing is in good running order like plugs leads etc

You would be as well taking the car to HLM.

Hamish can give the car a once over I expect, and highlight any areas of concern.

That way you can be fairly sure the car will be ok in the short term.

Yes I seen their stuff fantastic, but have you ever tried to stop a discovery, man you would have to spend fortunes it to make it go and stop. Anyway Ihave sold it already. They are great cars but I cannot afford to have it as well at the moment all my money sunk in the band, and recording equipment now that stuff is really expensive. last month we spent £500 on two mikes ouch!!!
