s70 ecu

hi there im just wondering if anyone on here knows if a 1995 850r ecu will fit in my 1997 s70 t5 and will it be a straight fit or will i need to get it reprgramed the one out the 850 has been remapped with a rica chip

It shouldn't, as the 850 ecu is a Motronic 4.3, and the early x70 series uses a Motronic 4.4

thanks for the reply and hello to you as well ive been on this site for about a year but not registered as i have not had a t5 but after looking long and hard i came up with a good manual with full service history seams to be going good but i would like to upgrade the ecu have you any tips on the best one and most affordable one with the best performance ....ive seen a few chips on ebay and the feedback seems to be very good for £100 chip

Personally I would stay away from the ebay chips. Do a search for remaps on here, theres loads of info on the subject.
