Assuming that it is Volvo related there is Trevor Burgess in Hyde or Hallmark Motors on Lancashire Hill in Stockport, who are both Volvo specialists.

I also know of a semi-retired ace motor technician of this forum, who lives not a million miles from me in Stockport, who may be able to offer his services.

it is volvo related and its your old car , the blue s70.
the engine management light is on and all the car will do is tick over as soon as you rev it the engine splutters and cut out . money isnt a problem but getting the right help is . any help would be appreciated and paid for . my number is 07591 745155 (daz)
