Sump Plug Trouble!

My sump plug is tight as hell and I am worried about breaking it. Any ideas?

Deep penetrating oil - wd40 or similar. When changing your oil you should change the oring and the plug anyway. I believe they can be bought online at parts for volvo online or shouldn't cost much from your local dealer.

IT shouldn't be that tight anyway, If it snaps its a sump off, Good luck and take it easy.

Quick question first, did you use a flush on the oil? and if so, I take it the sump etc was hot at the time, sometimes just letting it cool can loosen the plug off a lot, as was said it shouldnt be on that tight anyway.

When i tried to undo mine for the first time i found the sump nut almost rounded, I could not undo it. had to take it down to my local garage and they struggled for ages, it was a power chisel that did it in the end....very scary :bog:
