S60 Drinks flip cover

Does anyone know if you can buy a replacement cover for the drinks holder in the centre armrest? The one that flips over.

if u find out mate.. let me know mine has been broke since i brought the T5 7 months ago. one of the end plastic pins was broke. it still works. opens and closes but would be more secure with 2. i was thinkin about getting the centre console part from the S60R which has teh slide cover rather than the flip one. but dont know if it would all fit straight in. anyhow ill keep an eye on this incase someone knows

You can buy straight replacement parts, ebay or rufe would be agood place to start, but I think the shape of the R console is just slightly different, so it may not fit without a saw & patience...

There is a repair gide somwhere on here on how to fix it if it is busted.

Yes, it can be replaced. I got one direct from a Volvo dealer as the lid hinge had broken on the original. About £30 IIR. You need to lift the part of the console where it's located as it's clipped in from underneath. I discovered later that there also seems to be a cubby with a sliding lid that can be fitted in the same space which I would have found more useful, given that I've already got a cup holder in the dash, so I reckon the part will be universal for the S60 range.

I replaced the 3rd din holder the police had fitted to my cars central console, found a replacement twin cup holder (no cover on the V70 version) wich at the time cost abouy £18 off ebay.

There are quite a selection of bits that can go into the console & the arm rest bucket too.

Thers at least 1 sliding console and another armrest with cupholders on there right now.

I have the same problem, the hinge on mine broke too. Went to Volvo and they told me £77 for a complete unit (Hinged door is not sold separately).

I have placed a bid on the Centre Console Silver Sliding one being as it only has 2 hours left to run and no one has bid on it. so just letting ya;ll know incase anyone on here was going to bid. so we are not throwing money away at the owner ..lol

That would look alot better than the scabby old door one thats broken.

when it gets here ill let you know... it might need a bit of work as the old flip over door has an angle on the bottom edge closest to t geat shift and the slide sutter door has a straight edge. so i will have to see... might have to get a middle console replacement from the new style and see if it fits...

Cool... It must be a really common problem looking at it.... its the cheapest and flimsiest part of the whole car!

I think you need to do a thread on replacing it with lots of pics!!! :-D

i drilled a small hole where the broke pins are on the lid & used small pop-rivets to replace them

Mine has not only come off... but where its obviously a cheeper plastic a lot of the 'soft touch' finish has scratched off in patches too!
