Hello guys,(gals)
Just bought ex plod v70 t5, can anyone tell me anything about the upgrades
they did to the car ? eg remap, chip, suspension ,brakes etc, im looking to mod
this 2002 v70t5 and need some help as the last car i souupped up was a mk4 Cortina, sad init? anyway i also need to know, the best lowering kit to put on,
best exhust system inc, turbo down pipes, best air filter etc etc etc..........

Stick around, mate. You'll soon meet the 'modifiers'.

TBH your shopping list should go summat like:

Sort wishbones (PowerFlex bushes)
Sort brakes - new standard discs & pads all round or EBC if you like. . .
Sort suspension - Eibach spring kit with Bilstein B6 (stiff) or Sachs Advantage (family) with new top mounts front AND rear as you will be ditching the Nivomat self levelling rear shocks.
Then ECU remap.

The Plod ECU is the standard 270 bhp map so it's not exactly lacking power to start with. ;)

Welcome to the forum, the police didn't really modify their cars, they uprated the brakes and the suspension (so they could carry all that heavy gear) but the T5 is fast enough already so they didn't bother. There are plenty of upgrades available for your car, remaps (take your pick), exhausts, filters, etc. A good remap will transform the car.
