Volvo S60 R (1 (03-))

Engine Size - 2521cc
Power - (300 bhp @ 5250rpm)
Torque - (295 lb ft @ 1950rpm)

0-30 - (2.4)
0-40 - (3.4)
0-50 - (4.9)
0-60 - (6.3)
0-70 - (8.4)
0-80 - (10.4)
0-90 - (12.8)
0-100 - (15.9)

S60 T5

Engine Size - 2319cc
Power - (250 bhp @ 5200rpm)
Torque - (246 lb ft @ 2400rpm)

0-30 - ?
0-40 - ?
0-50 - ?
0-60 - (6.8)
0-70 - ?
0-80 - ?
0-90 - ?
0-100 - (17.9)

There is loads of stuff on there - too much for me to copy and paste. Worth a nosey to compare cars, it seems that the AWD that the R has makes quite a difference to the performance. I imagine power at the wheels will only be slightly more than a T5, which in theory means a slightly tuned T5 should harass an R in a straight line battle [heard the R handles quite well, a concept Volvo drivers are struggling with;)] so I wouldn't bother 'in the twisties' !

if you have a look at the road test review on the s60r, it mentions that they take the average of 2/3 runs for the timings

one run they managed a 13.4secs to 100mph

so to me if the car can managed it once, then you can do it again, with a skilled driver,(like myself!)

here;s another mag review times with a 04 s60r

ACCELERATION (Seconds)
Zero to 30 mph: 1.9
40 mph: 2.8
50 mph: 4.3
60 mph: 5.5
70 mph: 7.4
80 mph: 9.0
90 mph: 11.0
100 mph: 13.9
110 mph: 16.7
120 mph: 20.2
130 mph: 25.6
140 mph: 31.4

the 4wd drive thing is not cut and dry as you may think on the r, it can drive along the road with 90% of the power coming via the front wheels, then it can send 70% of the power to the back wheels, then during cornering have 50/50 split in power, so may not lose as power as other 4wd cars.

and in the twisties it is great, i now hope its going to rain when i drive the car, its like driving in the dry when raining.
