I would love to come to a meet up but its a bit difficult with 2 kids under 5 unless you chose a child friendly venue ;) Mr Mas however says he could be tempted :)

Is Fordham anywhere near central to everyone , should we not chip in where we are ? . Im quite near Stanstead airport :duck: , might help someone who is farthest away or something. Anyway Fri to Sun are good for me very little on car wise in January.
Stevenage Beccles Norwich and Buntingford , 80 miles each way for the guy from Northampton and 81 for the Ilford chap , TBH I'd chuck Eley in as a suggestion maybe attract a couple more folk. :P
I'll drive anywhere round there N.P
Cheers Mas

I am in Bedford on the beds/bucks boarder so a meet would be good, so long as it is not a 2-300mile round trip.
mas
Thursday 7th January 2010, 14:45
Newmarket or Ely are good for me and both of them are not only easier for me but I think easier for most folk. As long as our hamlet is no longer snowed in and its Fri-Sun I'd be pleased to pop up.

Sundays at the mo are dead , no car events till Spring , no Golf too cold , no Dog events basically nothing more than the village pub on Sundays for Jan / Feb dont you just hate our winters.
So we're on for a Sunday drive out no problem, which ever is best for folk :eclipsee_

What about, long shot, but meeting at Santa Pod for one of their events something like Straightliners held on the 14th March, thats a Sunday. Something for the whole family to come along to while us "Volvoheads" talk cars or whatever.

I'm still up for a meet but looking at the deathly silence gap in posts there may not be too many who are :(
I'm always up for a Sunday meet if not otherwise engaged be it tea and a bacon roll or something more adventurous. :wiggle:
A regular meet is looking unlikely though isn't it.
Cheers

Right im new to the volvo scene but did alot of meets with previous cars, i am in ipswich which is close to most of them places stated, i am up for almost any weekend provided i can get someone to look after my dog but i do have my 9 month old daughter but she is well behaved (normally me thats the problem hahahaha), im not up for doing massive trips as it will cost me a fortune on fuel but once a month would be good or even once every 3 months until its too cold, this needs to get sorted and rolling, i know the only problem is venue as in where to go which we will be aloud to stay for more than 10 mins without being moaned at lol, i am willing to help out if anyone needs help organising things.

My vote goes for a transport cafe with a nice big car park and a good english breakfast ! , they won't moan at a load of car folk. :B_steerin

Is there any progress on actually sorting out a place to meet, a date and a time?
I too think that this thread is set to run and run and run and...you get the idea. If we are enthusiastic enough to have a VPCUK meet then we should get out bums off seats and brains into gear and come up with a plan.

I can and will do any Sunday normally except 1st Sunday of each month when I go to the Classic car meet at Hertford Heath.
How about a suggestion of Sunday 16th May any good , I'm not fussed but just trying to get something positive sorted.
