breaking issue !!!

in the normal road coditions and weather (cloudy and rain) my brakes work and feel fine .but now on im on ice or if a wheel is on mud it feels like my brakes are griding and juddering is this normal because it dont feel like it ????
any help is great help !!!!!

typical ABS I'd agree. What are they like on an open road, all as per normal or do they lock up?

Sounds like the ABS, and ABS is useless in ice or snow.

Abs what a waste of time in snow, if in dought of stopping pull the handbrake an turn into the slide! :)

yeah there fine in the dry and wet no lock up !! it was just the judder through the brake pedel which felt off.

cheers for the comments guysmust admit first time i had abs ( my first car was drums allround) it scared the hell out of me when the pedal started juddering, i thought my pads where saying 'sod this' :)

Thats exactly what i did when my brakes failed on my last car.

I thought it would cost less to repair the rear bumper than to replace the front end and engine ;)
