You have a 16T so with a decent exhaust system (mine is a Jetex) and a decent air filter (mine is a K&N replacement for the standard paper one) on V-power and a well set-up ignition system with suitable chippery (I think you have HLM'd it haven't you?), you will be well on the way. The only caution is that standard rods and bolts may start to reach their limits in this power-band so a forged set etc would make sense. I know that this thread will produce a multiplicity of opinions, so see what happens.
I know there are guys on here who have 19T and so on, needs a bit of twiddling to connect up the exhaust as far as I understand, but with all these things, power increases tend to be exponential - ie, diminishing power return for each additional pound invested: each extra bhp costs a bit more than the last in other words. The sky is almost the limit but I think to get a true substantial 300 plus machine you will be talking some cylinder head and bottom-end work to say the least.

A less sexy but REALLY worthwhile mod, is to have your suspension bushes replaced and get a strut-brace in place. It really tightens the handling up bigtime. Whack on a 302mm front brake with steel braided hose conversion too - you could install both those last two additions in about an three hours and still have change out of £300.

I keep intending to get mine rolling roaded down in Bexleyheath at Sanspeed, so if you are interested could meet up and go. Think it is a weekday only thing however, which is a pain.

I would say yes, but with all the mods needed, it would probably be easier and cheaper to just get a bigger turbo. I run a panel filter, remap, sports cat and catback on my t5 (15g turbo) but i would guesstimate that output is still only around 260-270bhp, I should be able to tell you at the end of the weekend. The extra work to get the magic 300 would probably be more than what the car is worth.

My R is so red, it causes a ripple in the space-time continuum, so this fact is not neccesarily true...

Guaranteed 300 bhp with a new style top engine mount.... WTF!! lol

and I'd never have bought a red one, it was just the only one I could find with birch wood and a manual box. Black is way faster, it doesn't go pink but is still a bitch to keep clean.

300 horses is possible, but where do you want it crankshaft(yes),or at the wheels(no).
At the wheels will (not) be possible, but you're at the limit(from what i heared,350 at the crank is about as far as you can go, without opening the engine.

This will mean you'll need a decent remap, good exhaust system(complete),a good induction kit,and maybe a rip kit for starters and then your car should have been perfect(stage 0)in the first place.

If you want to go beyond the 300 mark(at the wheels)you'll need a whole lot more(intercooler, injectors, bigger turbo, pistons, drive shafts, etc, etc)

the standard T5 block is pushing itself to rod limits over 300 hp at the crank, anymore and you will be bending internal parts

Now seriously Cameron, you will damage your drivetrain with THAT many stickers. Be careful or you will bend something! There is an article on the VOC forum about the dangers of moose power...
