ive just upgraded to 302mm on front, and it has been a most welcome upgrade,
just made me think, how do you fit 302mm on the back? does it involve changing the calliper carrier? does the one onthe front fit on the back?
cheers

Im planning on the 302 on the front as well, is there a big difference, less brake fade ?

Rear brakes on a T5 are 295x10 non vented

I've read S60R rear the chosen upgrade at 330x28 vented

I'll be seeing Rufe after the new year, its about time i got it done.

I'll keep my 280's though as they are mint, so good spares.

AWD rears are 283mm. I think the R awd model got vented rears.

you'd need to find 2nd hand carriers, as Rufe does carriers on exchange

I just sold a spare set of 302 carriers

Do remember that on the rear brakes the handbrake shoes are incorporated into the discs 'top hat'.

Yes, but what use are the 280 discs as spares, if you don't have the 280 carriers

Rufe has said he doesn't need the carriers in exchange now, he found a different part number.

Can't work out why they are exchange anyway

Ive got a set of 280 carriers off my scrapped 855 T5 CD Auto that went into a wall backwards at approx 40mph, knocking the wall over and smashing the Persus alloy.

Insurance wrote it off and i got the car back and kept all the good bits and bobs id need then sold or weighed in the rest :B_thumb:

I do need carriers back in exchange, but i have never asked for 302mm carriers in exchange. I have always taken back the 280mm carriers when supplying 302mm carriers.

The different part number referred to above simply means they are now around half the price than they used to be in the past, as the number listed on screen to do the job are about £40 each, but there is an alternative on another page that I now use (as i know 100% they are exactly the same) at around half the price.
