The 18"s certainly fill the arches very nicely, but I don't think you will go wrong with either.

18” do look the part but they will put strain on the interior plastics.

18s much nicer on the outside tho i think they look just too wide compared to the 17s plus how do they effect the cars ride?? i love a nice set of wheels but if it effects the ride with any negitives id stick to 17s,,is there much of a width difference?

Well I would rather have 17's, my v70 currently has 18"pegs and has been lowered 40mm. The ride is so firm I swear if I hit a pothole I think that the chassis has snapped. 17's would I think give loads more comfort and also they have some great designs to choose from.

I love the look of the 18's but id sacrifice the look for a little more comfort with the 17's.

i had 225/40/18 with a 40mm kit and they killed the inner arches like so be carefull what tyres you use

I had a set of 215/35/18's on my last car with some rep Peg's and they were waaayy too narrow, the edge of the rim stuck out further than the tyre so they got scratched up pretty badly very quickly. You're defo better off with at least 225's.

Have 18" now for a while(with 225/35/18),yes the ride get's firmer but isn't that what you want from a sporty car?

In winter(don't know if there will be one,due to global warming:mischievo ),i use the original 17" volans

Deff 18"s
look out for potholes and enjoy the look
with a bit of practise you will soon be able to tell who cast any manhole covers you drive over:hilarious

I have said it before Walter, but you certainly have a nice looking motor car.
