Geartronic and red line.

When having a spirited drive, I like to change up when I hit the 6k redline, however if I time it perfectly the gear change doesn't happen on the spot. Sometimes this has lead to me going into the red. Is this normal or dangerous? S60 T5 2002 btw.

Not really, the limiter is there for a reason however your peak power is 5500rpm, not much point in going beyond.
