air con problem

Hello, not sure if my air con is working, on previous cars I have heard the compressor kicking in and revs dropping but nothing happens on mine. Book says something about flashing air con light if there is a problem but mine seems normal. Any ideas? oh it's a '97 850r. Cheers all

Suggest getting an aircon specialist to have a look. My 97 850 T5 had an aircon clutch issue, needed reshimming - cost about £70. But the problem there was that the clutch just kicked in and out every few seconds but was too worn to engage. Sorry, I think this is a completely useless answer.
