Engine mounts

I have just bought my 3. rd R-model, and this time I want to do something different. On the 2 earlier ones I have changed top engine mounts, the lower right ones and ofcourse the gearbox mounts in front. BUT, I still had and have on this one as well, a feeling of the engine "moving", especially under hard acc. and fast gearshifting.

My question is, have anyone in this forum changes the two big mounts (front+rear), if so was it at all noticeable????????? My local Volvo dealer is telling me, that they have never changed these and therefore never sold them........

you say you've changed the top mount already, have you replaced it with another Volvo bush or a stifffer Powerflex one?

you can also get a Powerflex bulkhead mount & tierod bushes

Yes - they were all changed to the poly-ones - but still moving about!!

Have you tried the one behind the O/S Wheel Arch, they fail and let the engine move about quite a lot :grumpy:

And its not an MOT failure :yikes:

I had that one done and noticed a difference.....
