went to start my car today and it would,nt start it was working fine last week when i parked it up but today it would,nt start at all no spark at the plugs or from the coil engine turns over but no spark , any ideas out there chears

had the computer on the car and the fault came up as camshaft sencer its a s70 r 1998 mate just priced them on parts for online 99 pounds

Post up a photo of your one so I can check - it's fitted to the rear nearside of the engine, on the end of one of the cams (surprisingly :D )

Not sure if the one I have is right for your car but if it is you can have it for not a lot :)

thanks for your help al115 thats the part i found the lad who pluged my car is going to see if he can get the part any cheeper ,would this cause the car to have fast idle at all

It'd probably cause it to run like a bag of sh*t or not at all if it was really gone...

Best bet, if that has come up on the code reader, is to try and find someone near you with a similar car who will let you swap theirs onto your vehicle. That way you can rule it out.

To be honest I've NEVER heard of one fail. Every time one's been suspected it's turned out to be something else! But you might be "the one" :)
