I used a hole cutter on the bulb space cover/caps.

Tucked the ballasts under the headlight units, removing the air box & the washer pipe is the ideal!

damn im good. I found it.. lol...:pimp2:. here is the online solution. it explains why your having the problem. and tells u with photos how to sort it... took me less that ten mins... never have the prob again so it does work... just make sure you use the exact size drill bit AND drill exactly where it says to and you wont have the problem again. did mine about 7 months ago.. been fine since.... here is the link to the site..u can get to the shunt you need to remove. just kneel on floor outside driver side.. and take out the peice of cover that covers below the steerling colums.. the shunt plugs in just above where your feet touch the pedals.. its dont look it on the pics but its about 3 to 4 inches long... there are no markings on the shunt so before you un plug it ( it plugs in like a normal fuse) MARK IT on one side so you know which way to plug it back in again after. like in the pic.. it shold be the 3rd Shunt down that you want to remove. the pic shows it ...job done.

Dip Beam is H7, I'm still awaiting my Bulb out Warning cancellers.

I have my DRL's turn off, so no issues there.

Anyone suggest a HB3 Full beam bulbs that is more matched to the HID look, ?

Bought some "Ice BLue" ones from Ebay, and they are no diffferent from standard

Jase,

Well done on sorting out a solution to you 'bulb out' warning message.

I'm hopeful that it will not be a problem, but the cure you have effected has come about because by drilling a hole in the shunt, you have increased its resistance to fool the control system that you have a 'normal' bulb. HID bulbs have less resistance than normal bulbs - that's why you get the warning light.
By drilling the hole in the shunt you will increase the heat it operates at, hopefully not sufficiently to become a problem, but something to be aware of.

Cheers,
John.
