roof bars

ive got roof bars on my 96 t5 but prefer the look of them without roof bars.... is it easy to remove them or more to the point is it stupidly expensive to get a stip to replace where the roof bars were?

If you look on the inside edge of the roof bars there are some small covers, remove these and the fixing bolts are inside. You will need the whole strip to replace the roof bars, you should be able to pic some up through a breakers.

Yeah 6 bolts mate, I changed the other way around, I added the roof bars. I thought it looked better with them lol. If your stuck and can't get roof strips I have 2 here that I was gonna keep in case I ever change my mind again. But I'd sell to a fellow Volvoer in need.
