can anybody tell me if a abs with tracs ecu from a 98 v70 fit on my 96 850R thanks

i tried one on mine a few weeks ago and i had no speedo and the light stayed on..

Should do - but as always, check the serial numbers. Do a search on here as this is such a common issue. Or contact Rufe - at FRW Volvo in Swansea - who will set you straight on correct part numbers (I can hear Simon thanking me from here (NOT!))

I believe the differences are the older 850's generate forward speed from a sensor in the gearbox differential housing where a speedo cable might have lived, and the 70's use one front wheel ABS sensor to calculate it. That's why there are two different ECU's.
