Read the long but ultimately happy saga of mine - you could do the same: http://www.vpcuk.org/forums/showthread.php?t=24620

Why dont you do it the proper way and go inpast a main dealer get them to order in the volvo kit to remove the nut.
It will cost approx £50.00 and they will tell you the number so that you can order the proper key(socket).
All this will apply only if it is a genuine volvo locking wheel nut.

I can do one better than that!

When I had the P1 V70 couldnt get my buggers off lost the key, went to the local ovlov garage down the road and they had a master key set, removed all the lock nuts and replaced them with the spare non locking nuts for free. Then they ordered me a new key and it cost £15.

As explained this is an unnecessary expense

The way we have done in the past is by doing what i told flatout phil to do, ie, take a digital photo of a locking wheel bolt and send it to mcgard to identify the key code, which they do for free. :D

Contact them through: www.mcgard.de or you can telephone them on: 0049 713390190
