engine management light on

changed the fuel pump last week on my 1995 850 t5 and now the em light is on.. It has a obd2 connector near the gear stick i was thinking of buying a code reader which will clear the fault code. I have emailed a few people and they say the scanners they sell prob wont work as its a 1995. Can anyone tell me what scanner will do this I am willing to pay about £100 mark...

Remove the ecu overnight mate and it should clear it for you, best of all its free ;)

i tried disconnectin the battery for a couple of hours

It would but its more effective to remove the ecu especially if you dont have the code for your head unit ;)

Just pull the ecu out and give it a go, what have you got to loose.
