A strange question for all you experts,
In my shed I happen to have a td04 off a subaru sti, is this the same as the td04 everyone talks about on the forum, or is it completely different?

I think they are a TD04-16g, while ours are TD04-15g, I tried reading a scooby forum, but to much text speak! :P

Our Volvos have TD04HL turbos (these have the largest turbine wheels in the TD04 range) and the Subarus use the TD04 I think (smaller turbine wheel) but the compressor sides should be the same (obviously there are different ones, 13T, 15G, 16T, etc. (it also seems to me that the G suffix means the turbo is a Flatback, and the T suffix means its a Superback))

The only other thing is that some of the compressor housings on subarus have top inlets instead of side inlets, and they are not Volvo stamped (not sure whether the side inlet compressor housings are different to Volvo ones)

I may be spouting absolute crap though, can someone clarify?
