Ive been searching for one of these for about four weeks now and its now starting to get silly. They are just rare as feck! Ive tried all the forums, ebay, autotrader, pistonheads, gumtree and nothing except for knackered ones selling for a grand The ones that do come up all seem to be about £2500 which is near enough 'R' money IMO.

So is the manual really that rare, has anyone else had problems finding this model, or with a budget of £1500 am i just expecting too much?

When you say V70 S1 do you mean Phase 1 ( 97 - 00 ) ?

I looked for a long time for a P1 manual T5 and couldnt find any for cheap money < £2000.

Probably how Volvo's get the name they have as being an old / Lazymans mans car as most of them are Autos.

Im getting fed up with my lazymans box now and im after a V70R manual 2wd, they seem to be thin on the ground also :(

I have a '99 V70 T5 that is manual, took alot of looking to find it. It only had 50K on it when I got it too!! Well, actually 49950 but it was 150 miles away so it ticked over on the way home.

In looking around (i like to keep an eye open for what is out there) there still seems to be a very small number of these about. More autos than manuals i find.

As for a manual T5 S70... definately rocking horse!!!

The prices i've seen recently look good, alot of car for the money providing its been well looked after, there are a lot of old dogs out there.

Happy searching... it will be worth the wait :D

Well we won the red one. Its not perfect but it went for what we thought was a good price. Picking it up sunday. So if your on the A1 between Newcastle and Leeds on sunday afternoon and you see two V70s doing warp speed either get out of the way or come join us!
