A 2.8 T5? Whats that then? I know it's ex-fed but still. Is it the same as is in the V70R? Excuse my ignorance.

Just asked the seller a question. Waiting on the reply... Be interesting to see if paypal would pay out on a mis-sold item!:deal::yikes:

Ebay /Paypal will have nothing to do with it if you purchase it,they deem the matter to be between seller and buyer.
Motor vehicles are excluded from there policy unless its stolen then it becomes a police matter but as paypal are registered abroad they may not help either.

I know, was just pie in the sky thinking. PayPal's lawyers would have seen that loophole/scam/liability way back when our long haired friend was a wink in the big guys eye. (What?!)

Still, no doubt this car will go to someone who will have many years and miles of happy motoring, all the while bragging to anyone who cares, that their's is a 'Police special, with a unique engine that no other road going Volvo ever had fitted'.

Anywho.

On goes my quest for a T5, for up to £4.5k that I can put a warranty on and run for a year in place of my company diesel astra.

I think it all goes to show you can't trust a Special like an Old Time Copper when it comes to typos on V5s. 2.8? I think not.

Reply is in, by the sounds of it he's well aware it's not right, but he's going on the technicality of the V5.

this car shows 2819 on the v5, the previous owner being the south yorkshire police. i bought it from police direct sales so i havent altered it. also when you put an insurance search in with the reg, it comes up as 2.8 to insure.

So there. My bit of paper say's i'm special!

Listing is correct as a t5,he has mayby miscounted the number of cylinders(6).
You would not get insurance for a 2.8 as it would not be on there list of models.
But who cares?.
