Quick 850 ECU Question

Folks, my T5R is a 94 model, it has a dignostic port behind the drivers front light. Would an ECU from a T5R with the OBD II socket in the center console be compatible ?

If all the pins are in the same place i would have though so as i would have thought the later modles with the unit behind the head light connects to one/or a few of the pin/s for the fault codes

I would say yes as i have an obd2 ecu on my early 95,it works no bother on mine.Both ecu units were of manual with air con cars.hope that helps,Paul.

Just to add to this, if the two ecu's are compatable, does anybody know if the self diagnosis system can be added to a vehicle with an OBD 2 socket ?. Might be a useful mod !
