As you may have read on the VOC forum, I need a set of tyres having run over some nails :( So I'm looking into the cost of either refurbing my Volans alloys & getting new tyres, or buying a set of alloys & tyres as a package.
Thus, I'm wondering how much a set of 5 17inch Volans would sell for. All 5 have flaking paint and light kerbing marks but are otherwise ok. I'm wondering whether to buy a set of new wheels and sell the Volans to offset the cost, or just have these professionally refurbed (I've been quoted £300 to refurb & powder coat the set of 5). The piccy is typical of all wheels.
Thanks as always.

You'd probably get around £300 for the Volans...I think a set of replica Pegs will set you back around £5-600 with tyres...But that would be for 4 not 5.

Thanks for that TC. Just wanted to get an approximate overall cost of change, if you know what I mean.
All the best

Where can you get replica pegs + tyres for that sort of price TC? Interested to know as I've only been able to find them at about €200 per wheel excl. tyres.
Any links much appreciated!

IIRC JEM tyres in Farnworth on http://www.tyresandalloyslancashire.co.uk/ were doing 17" replica PEGS plus tyres for something like £550.
This was about 12 months ago but worth a call because I know a few peps off here had them and were happy with them.
