As a regular ebayer, buyer and seller, it ALWAYS astonishes me how sellers do this pick up only nonsense. It really limits the price. I usually find out what all the postage permutations are and show them. This worked really well when I picked up several Batle of Britain Spitfire engine parts from a reputable excavator/historian. I sold two pieces to American collectors on Ebay - I had paid £5 for each, for £45 and £175 respectively - I aslo sold a crushed Merlin cylinder liner that had been ground open to release the piston that I got for NOTHING for £45. Now, I could have just said pick-up only and got maybe a tenner for each part.
My second ever Ebay sale was a Corgi Commer Van I had got in a charity shop, sold to a guy in Japan for £35. Not always so lucrative, but it is worth researching post./courier costs.
As a buyer NOTHING puts me off like ridiculous postage costs or pick-up onlys.
Suggest you email seller and see if they would be happy for you organise a Parcel Machine pick-up or similar. It does not cost that much.
