Premium sound radio ....faulty c,d,

Hi,
The C.D,part of my premium sound system is playing up in as much that it has a mind of its own.will play...will not play...ejects,,,,plays part way through and stops...no one locally to me in stoke on trent repairs them.I am told to bin it..anyone help please.

What model is it? SC901's aren't easy to come by. I have recently had big problems with disc skipping, not playing, but then playing and not skipping... There's no rhyme or reason to it, it just does it. As obvious as it sounds, have you tried cleaing the laser? It has largely solved my problem, but still the odd hiccup here and there. Try to get a 'wet & dry' cleaner though, as a dry one alone was useless.
