Hi guys,

About 1 yr ago when I bought the car a warning light was on and the temperature needle was all over the place, I used a generic code reader which pointed to the cooling system. I replaced both the temperature sensor and the thermostat and all was well... Until now almost 1yr later exactly the same code and needle is doing the same!! Surely it cant be the temperature sensor or thermostat again?? I did buy both parts from PFV so maybe they are inferior?? I was just wondering (to cut a long story short..sorry!) if these parts have a tendancy to not last very long or if I need to be thinking its something else?

Thanks in advance

Billy

Only use genuine sensors as I have found to my cost that pattern parts are very short lifed.

I used a non genuine temp sensor, and it lasted two weeks (they are a generic part also used on Renaults though LOL).

Replace them anyway can't hurt.
