I got the right bolts etc now so the wheels fit and look really good, only prob is the rears rub over even the smallest bump, im thinking of trimming the rear arches? the offset is 38 and the tyres are 205 50 17's anyone else have this issue? or any advice?

I have 215-45-17's with no rubbing issues at all on my 855 estate and its been lowered :D

I believe the correct fitment is 205/40/17; at least that's what's on mine. Has the same overall height as the 195/55/15s that were originally on.

Its the middle number that's crucial on tyres. The first part is the width of useable tread in mm in your case 205mm the second number is the height of the sidewall as a ratio of the useable tread in your case 50% which is 125mm, and as we all know the last number is the diameter for fitting in inches in your case 17". if you went for the 205/40/17 tyres your sidewall would be 82mm high, thus giving you an extra 43mm of clearance.

thanks for that, it was catching on one of the bolts on the front part of the arch, i've taken that one out and it catches now and then but it is drivable, i just bought new tyres so i dont wanna just lose them,
