Help please ABS ecu V70 T5

Hello, I am new here. My abs/tracs light has been on for some time. After reading everything re: repair on here I have asked my OH to have a go at repairing the abs ecu and he has agreed. I have been familiarising myself with where the ecu is etc and yesterday I decided to wiggle the connector and power lead about (hope i'm making sense) This morning I have got in my car and found that the abs light is still on but the tracs light has gone out and my tracs is working , also my speedo which had been ok, is now not working. Please help - any advice/info greatly appreciated :)

You have a fault on the that ECU - and it does need refurbishing. Cracks on the solder joints to the power pins is one of the most common places for the fault to lie on the printed circuit board.

Hi...I agree,cracked soldered joints.I had to melt and suck off all the multipin joints and re solder with new.
It did the trick for me.:D

Yeah, one this on my car, and just recently on my dads 850, as that was the same. Problem solved.

Its a place to start, as eventually it will need doing anyway.
