My 2003 S40 T5 has just started playing up when starting the engine whilst hot. Starts from cold perfectly, but when the engine is hot the engine turns over fine but doesn't 'catch' as quickly as when cold. Once started it runs fine. Any ideas will be much appreciated

When was it's last good service and when were the sparkplugs last changed?

It is 2k of its next service, and was going to change the plugs this time anyway... Might run some injector and line cleaner through it - what you think?

My Mum got similar problems on her focus and a good service sorted it with new plugs, fuel filters, air filters etc.

Try Forte my friend. Not cheap. About £15 retail, but very effective and well respected. Worked a treat on my T5 when it had starting issues.

Where would I get some Forte from? The engine is turning over fine, just not firing as quickly as it should.
