I've a 97'V70R and the 18T on it that's done 165K now, so at some stage it will porb be worthwhile having it overhauled. Any recommends?

Done mine myself. Kit was £40, all it is is strip down and clean/replace parts. As long as you mark the wheels it shouldn't need re-balancing. Thats if your mechanically minded though.....

How much would you expect to pay to get a turbo refurbed, by a proffessional?

why do you think I wanted you come and look under the hood so often? dammit, I've been too subtle? I was aiming for obvious, but avoidable... seems I hit indiferrent and unconcerned again :(

Kit seems cheap..too cheap not to do myself! there's gotta be aguide on here somewhere. The kits must be from dealers then?

You can get the kits off ebay but got mine from RA Designs (only problem is that it was for superback turbo, and ours are flatbacks, which means one part in the kit is different)
