View Full Version : Anti-roll bar ploy bushes - do they just slide on?

Ok, subsequent to my other thread on droplinks whilst I've replaced one and in the basence of any mole grips, will likely end up cutting the other off too, i'm thinking it would be worthwhile to replace the bushes for some ploy ones too. As above really, do they just slide on over the ends with a bit of lube? There's no hidden pitfalls other than the 4 bolts is there? Cheers for any and all advice

Not sure, but I think the ARB bushes are fixed onto the ARB and are not changeable unless you do a bit of bodging. I think only the early 850s had the changeable bushes.

I've got some poly bushes to fit to mine, but need the time to actually get the bar off and mess with it.

The poly bushes are bonded to the ARB. You can split the bracket off the rubber inside the bracket but you will need to modify some 700/900 series poly bushes to replace the 850 items. The poly items available for the 850 are usually for the earlier type removeable items.
