View Full Version : Poor C70 T5 Stuttering :-(

Hey,

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

My car has an uneven idle and stutters under normal throttle usage between idle and 3000rpm, after this its fine with light throttle usage, although if you boot it, it does stutter.

Car is un-drivable as it is, any help would be appreciated.

Engine light is on, have already replaced the MAF.

Im ordering a code reader over the weekend.

Coil packs / plugs.....sorted mine out a treat :D

I am sure the ETM was done on the car tbh, I will dig out the paper work.

I replaced the plugs appox 4 weeks ago, and it did decrease the symptoms, but have slowly get worse again.

Coil packs are about £45 a pop arent they?

Yup sadly they are, but if everything else has been done then it is likely to be the packs

damn, is their anyway to test the packs? I dont want to buy 5, and the it turns out not to be the packs.

Well, the car is good again!

It was two of my coil packs! D and E!

Thanks to Gary(siamblue) for the packs and help today! Much Appreciated!

No worries Rob glad we sorted it,
As for the dog it knows when people are fearful and he just goes for them, if you stand up to him then he behaves himself, but he does look a bit menacing to strangers, plus Alan, if he wanted to rape you he would off lol,

how did your car drive as i have a 2000(v) c70 t5 and its stuttering alot, its worse when im changing gears and its hardly got the power it used to have.
also wen i start it cold its worse.
