just wondered if someone can confirm if this will read all the codes on my 2002 D5 ok, i've got a code linked to the cruise control & like to know if this will read them

how about these, the bluetooth link-up looks a good idea

Hi Duane ,the BSR PPC code reader is only one that Will the Codes off your car other choise is VCT2000 or DiCE both not cheap.PPC is around £100 brand new off Nordic.

cheers mate, i was hoping to get a USB kit. The BSR is still only the same price as getting the codes read twice at a garage lol

With those USB devices, it's not so much the device you're using (the hardware) but the software you're using to read the codes via that interface.

With the correct software, those should read any code on any car...

i did notice some of them came with a few programs on the CD, but they were all freeware which didn't give me much convidence

The freeware ones are ok for looking at some of the more generic codes and common data values from the car. I started with ScanTool.net v1.14 but soon moved to more sophistacted software. I'm currently using PCMSCAN for diagnostics and virtual dashboards, and it works fantastic with a cheap eBay Hong Kong USB2 ELM323 interface, which was about £17.

i'm tempted to order the cheap Bluetooth OBD, it works out to the same price & as the USB lead (if it doesn't work i can always stick it back on ebay)
