How often do you guys change tiningbelt on your t5's. Haynes say 8 years/128000km. Others say 4 years/80000km.

What is the correct answer ?

80k miles,I think mate but I wouldn't leave it that long personally.

& dont leave it until that mileage.
do it a few thousand before that.

80k is the change time
If it is a Volvo or Gates belt it should exceed this spec with no worries

maybe, but would you risk it jod? i change mine at 50k despite what mr volvo sez

i had mine done at 80k and just had the 2nd one done at 160k. Belt looked in really good nick still (got it int he garage!), unlike the alternator belt which looked shagged to bits!!

think its every 80k or eight years which ever comes first i always do the belts every 30-40k but then again i dont even do 5k a year
