most people will say not to, you'll miss the airbag if/when you crash which i do agree with.

the momo is so much nicer to grip though. bear in mind, this is on an 850 though, not a C70 and its a crap photo, sorry.

Only a q,but does this not raise an issue at MOT time as the car was fitted with SRS as original equipment?

Told that the airbag is not part of the MOT, as it is to verify the road worthy condition of the vehicle.

Basically, the interior could be ruined, with stinking upholstry & a bad smell, all the seats could be ripped & torn. The important bits are... electrics, pedals, seatbelts & windows (clean).

I remember someone else asking about this before, airbags are not part of the checks as it's not a vital system of the vehicles driving/stopping/roadworthy systems.

Sad though it may seem, I suspect you'll have to tell your insurance company that you are removing the airbag.

Must be getting old.....when I was a tester (life was in black and white) I was sure it was a fail. Probably thinking ABS. Well buddy,no worries changing the wheel then.

A great guide for the MOT is; 'If it's fitted, it must work'.

No airbag fitted, no requirement for it to work. :)

Exactly, if it ain't there, it can't be broke!
